Dr Lim Kheng Ann studied “advanced surgical implantology” in Sweden which includes the finer points in surgical techniques for dental implantology as well as cranio-facial implantology.
He also held the appointment of clinical tutor in the Master of Dental Surgery (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery) program from 1995 to 2003. From 2002 to 2003, he served as a part-time lecturer, Division of Graduate Dental Studies, Master of Dental Surgery (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program)/ “MDS (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery)” at the National University of Singapore.
In 2000, he performed the first orthognathic surgery indicated for obstructive sleep apnea in Singapore and also performed SIngapore’s first Modified Maxillo-Mandibular Advancement Surgery (Mod MMA) for the treatment of OSA.
In 2006, he performed the first Nobelguide (Teeth-In-An-Hour) surgical procedure in South East Asia.
Since 2004, he has been teaching surgical dental implantology for the NobelBiocare implant company. Dr Lim was appointed their regional instructor for the Nobelguide technique for Asia.
In September 2006, he was involved in the NobelBiocare World Tour held in Hong Kong where he performed the Nobelguide technique. He has also given courses and lectures on dental implantology in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and China under the invitation of NobelBiocare.
He is currently actively involved in teaching dental implantology to dental surgeons in South East Asia.
I went to Dr Lim for a wisdom tooth problem. Dr Lim is the most professional dental surgeon I have come across. He not only did a very good job - painless and minimum swelling post surgey - he is also very gentle and caring. He kept re-assuring me during the surgery and that settled my fraggled nerves. I went to him upon my friend’s recommendation as Dr Lim had attended to her 2 teenagers and did such a fantastic job for them. Highly recommende for any form of oral surgery !
