I'm am disappointed with the service rendered by NTUC Denticare Bedok branch. The dentist has no compassion at all for a sick old lady. I'm thinking twice about coming back to any NTUC Denticare center.

Saw a few comments about NTUC denticare. I was referred to a specialist by the one at AMK Hub, without a referral letter. She told me that my molar tooth that experience pain when I eat cold things require root canal treatment and as she is not certain if the nerve if affected and made an appointment with Endodontic Clinic at Lucky plaza. During my first appointment, the Specialist informed that he can't see any cracks from the x-rays but he's sure there's a crack and asked me if I wanted root canal treatment. Trusting his professionalism, I agreed. Only to find out later after my treatment when I spoke to the NTUC dentist that I am supposed to go there only for analysis and the specialist is supposed to analyse if the infection had infected the nerve of the molar and recommend if I can go back to NTUC for further analysis, root canal may not be required. With my root canal done, I wonder the professionalism of such dentists and their procedures- how can I be referred to a specialist without a referral letter? What kind of initial analysis was been done at the NTUC Dentalcare if all they do is make an appointment for the patient at the specialist with no referral letter and expect the patient to communicate with the specialist? Isn't there someone who can ensure proper advise is given to us? Pls learn from my experience here and beware of such poor professional advise.

Went to thedentist@orchard to fix my one front teeth that was protruding out.
Dentist overcharged me. I intended to do a procelain veener, then he say cannot for my teeth, have to do a crown.
But he still charge the price for a porcelain veener. crown is cheaper at 600.
Then, because I do only one teeth, he at first say it is 850, now it is 1000. and never tell me before hand.

during the procedure, keep asking me to do all 6 front teeth, when i already say i rather do one teeth only.

sigh, should have done braces for my teeth.

frankly, people can write what they want here without according the dental surgeons the right of response. Like Chan Joon Yee mentioned, even if the dental surgeon has exercised due diligence in obtaining informed consent from the patient, it's too easy for the latter to turn around and allege that proper or sufficient info wasn't accorded to him/her. At the end of the day, put your neck where your mouth is - sign a statutory declaration and be legally accountable and responsible for any comments/statements that are made. That'll be the fairest.
