Beware of Careway Dental Surgery at Tampines. Male 30+ bi-spectacled dentist Extremely Sarcastic, RUDE and unprofessional. Chipped my tooth and did not tell me. Considering legal action against him. Cannot believe such unprofessional manners even exist!

Hi, for removal of wisdom tooth,
if private clinics charge $800, public clinic charges $500,
if i decide to go to private clinic, is the claim amount same if i were to go to public clinic? Is it charged based on percentage computation or by the claim limit? If is is based by amount, is it right to say that public clinic is cheaper?

I still have a baby tooth and going to have it removed and replace it with an implant.

My dentist is in the list of approved dental clinics.

Can i check how much is claimable for dental implants?
Should my surgery costs $5000, can i claim the full amount?
Is there any limit to the amount?

Also, do i make full payments to the clinic, and get the claim in the form of cheque. Or will all amounts be automatically deducted from my medisave account?

Thanks in advance. :)

Medisave claims are usually for wisdom tooth surgery & dental implant surgery. Those which affects dental health. Whitening is considered as cosmetics.

Anw, medisave is only claimable for the surgery itself OR 90% of single bill (inc. consultation & surgery). For further details, you will have to enquire from the clinic of your choice before making appointment. And on the day of appointment, enquire again as you will need to pay full upfront.
