  • does polyclinics have “veneer” too?

  • Polyclinics do not do aesthetic procedures, like toothwhitening and veneers. You’ll have to go to a Prosthodontist or any other private practice that does veneers.

  • I live overseas and I’m going to get my x-ray done over the weekend as well. I need to get veneers in my law jaw as my teeth have separated and there are two gaps.

is it possible for me to liaise with any dentists in Singapore for treatment if I provide my local consultant’s findings as well as x-ray? I would like to get this done as soon as possible, hopefully during the CNY holidays.

Please advise your thoughts with thanks.

  • Is veneer suitable for anyone?

My mum has been thru a couple of dental treatments when she was younger and not all were of satisfying results. This ended up with her having only one really big front tooth to cover for the lost space in between.

Will the removal of the ‘fake’ tooth and the addition of veneers help?

  • I’d personally use a Thai dentist.. had plenty of veneer work done after a violent mugging (true story) and they had the most advanced equipment I’ve seen (Im from Australia).. the cost was $170 for 3 whole veneer surfaces.. I treat my teeth pretty bad and chew things I shouldn’t and it’s still intact.. People can usually tell where veneer work is done - ie those mild colour differences but they did such a good job colour matching that I can’t even tell.. even when I stare in the mirror at close range.

Cost to fly to Thailand : $150 SGD RTN
Cost of Veneers (internationally insured) $170 SGD

Been there, done it and am very satisfied and glad I didn’t pay $2000+ years ago when I had it done!! That’s money I’d rather have in my pocket!
