I did my wisdom tooth surgery with Prof Ho just 2 weeks ago, he’s super caring and after the anaesthesia was put, I felt NO pain at all!!!! Thank you Prof Ho!
Then next day after the surgery, there wasn’t any swelling so I really am impressed with his skill at taking out my wisdom teeth.
Will be going back soon to take out my other side.
If you’re scared of pain like me, go see Prof Ho and tell him that you are. He’ll make sure everything’s smooth for you.
I think Prof Ho is one of the most experienced and friendly dental surgeon Singapore has to offer. I was recommended by my sister to see him way back.
I did 8 of my implants with him 12 years ago and so far it has been good and without any problems.
I was a painless and smooth procedure. Thanks Prof!
Prof Ho took out all 4 of my wisdom teeth when he was still in NUH. He’s super famous, so heng I managed to get him as my surgeon.
After that, my mum and I visited his new clinic at Paragon and did 2 implants. My mum’s so happy with the results and she keeps asking all my auntie and uncles to go see him for implants. Cannot find this kind of experience in the world with his kind of price.
You try to find la, sure cannot!
Seems like everyone is talking about the reasonable charges…Can someone put up an estimate please? How much is Prof Ho charging for an implant on average?
Thanks Sue! I do agree with you its a bargain! I will arrange for an appointment.
Prof Ho sounds like someone I need. I’m expecting more than two implants and other works. Can someone enlighten me on his charges please? Thank you.
I have low threshold for pain and i need to extract a complicated wisdom tooth. Can someone give me an estimate of how much Prof Ho charge for wisdom tooth extraction?
My friend just did her implants there, after she insisted on him giving a discount, he obliged and gave 15%.
I’m thinking of getting mine done by him too, but will definitely bargain as i heard he’s very obliging.
who knows, might get 25% discount of the $4200 he’s charging.
I’m going for my wisdom tooth extraction soon, and I’m deciding between Dr Lim Kheng Ann and Prof Ho.
Can someone put up estimates for wisdom tooth extractions? And he does provide sedation right?
Thanks in advance!
I’ve been searching for a cheap clinic for implants…. all dentist charge 3500 per unit very exp i cant afford…. Is Prof Ho charging lower then that & can i pay my installment? Pls help urgent?
I lost my 2nd molar after a failed root canal, I spend $900 and at the end I didnt get anything but depression, I cry everyday bcos during my root canal treatment, I diagnose with TMJ, I cant bite hard thing or open my mouth wide, my dentist said RCT doesnt cos TMJ but I read from website sudden change of tooth height will cause TMJ ( I had crown first but when put on temp crown it pain, thus I need RCT )
I just went to see Dr Adrian Yap from NUH, he advised me to wear a night guard in order to held all my existing tooth at place and also help my TMJ, I been crying everyday, I thinking of tooth implant but I really can face anymore failure, also it so expensive, I spend so much on RCT and also on the night guard, to me dental become a NIGHTMARE …………
Prof Ho,
I have a lower jaw access problem, and wants to consult about Maxillofacial Surgery treament, I need to know more details about the procedures or process before / during and after the surgery.
Can I know how much Maxillofacial Surgery cost in Singapore? It guess it should be very expensive. Can i know any installment or any payment method/plans to help out those patient who is not so effortable?
I have a complex wisdom tooth that needs surgery. Can someone advise on Prof Ho charges? Heard that he’s obliging to give discount too.. is it still valid? As am not working lately so any penny saved is good news to me.
Thanks.
I was a patient with Prof Ho many years ago at NUH. I needed to have a surgery done. Prof Ho was very kind, patient and did an excellent job and my wound has since healed very nicely. And all throughout, he really took care that my teeth and everything healed properly. He’s the best dentist in the world!
I’m considering to do dental implant for my 3 teeth(molar tooth - 1 upper and 2 lower)
I consulted Prof. Ho Kee Hai and Dr. Lim Kenh Ann. They have tototally different opinions with my teeth.
According to the OPG X-ray , Dr. Lim thinks my bone are too thin. The sinus and grafting surgery are necessary.
I have to do CT Scan first , then he can do check the real think of my bone.
Prof. Ho thinks my bone is OK. For upper one, need to push a little bit up. He got the bone thin from the X-ray.
He said that the radiation of CT Scan is much higher and it’s very expensive.
Let’s see the charge.
Dr. Lim
Consultation 80
OPG X-ray 80
CT Scan@jaw 240
Sinus Surgery 2000
Grafting 1500
anesthetist@hr 500(2hrs required)
teeth cast - didn’t mention
Implant@tooth 4000(Swiss Brand)
Prof Ho
Consultation 80
OPG X-ray 90
CT Scan@jaw -
Sinus Surgery -
Grafting -
anesthetist@hr -
teeth cast 200
Implant@tooth 4500(Germany Brand)
The GST is not included. But Dr. Lim doesn’t charge GST for Consultation & X-ray.
After consultation , I search some information from Internet. More information more confusing.
OPG X-ray is a 2D picture. Some overlap tissue can’t be shown exactly on OPG X-ray.
Is that mean I better to do CT Scan? Is CT Scan a 3D picture?
Sould I consult the 3rd dentist?
Now I prefer Prof. Ho to do the surgery for me, but I still worry about my bone status.
Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.
YXL, why cant have a denture? u mentioned implant @4.5K meaning is PER TOOTH? so u need $12K wau, tat a lots of money, I also thinking of implant but I am very scare of the failure cost etc!
Sorry for wrong typing,
I want to say Dr. Lim has to see the result of CT Scan to confirm the bone thickness and width.
Hi Bee Bee,
For my situation , I can choose removable denture or dental implant. But removable denture may cause bone shrinking and can’t bite too hard. The removable denture make me feel like a old lady.
If 12K can give me permanent and healthy teeth, I think it’s worth it.
Now, I know CT Scan can get 3D picture.
Is there any one can give me some advice?
Is CT Scan a necessary check item?
I’m considering to consult the 3rd doctor. How abount National Dental Centre? Has anyone been there before? Any recommend dentist?
Thank you.
I would like to know Dr Ho Kee Hai clinic. I could not locate his actual clinic. My son seen him at age 4yrs due to a fall and had till now i need to consult him for follow up. Thank You.
On Wednesday (13 Jan 2010), I had my wisdom teeth extracted by Prof Ho. I was suffering from very bad toothache which affected my jaw line, inner right ear and the throat.
Prof Ho is really a super dentist. He is kind, caring, patient, reassuring which put you at ease. You could tell him whatever problems you have and he will make sure that everything will be fine.
I acutally have phobia of going to the dentist because of a bad experience i had before and I am so glad that Prof Ho has changed my mind set and i am no longer afraid of going to the dentist.
Many thanks Prof Ho. You are a great dentist.
HI YXL
So have u seen 3rd Dentist? I had a partial denture for my molar cost $430 ( one molar ) hm dont know why when biting sometimes will bit on my cheek, cos blister, I apply ulcer gel and have to eat slowly! I tot of seeing Prof Ho, but I think he charge very high and my jaw has not recover yet thus I dont think I can do any dental work in my mouth as my jaw cant open too BIG for too long! I only left with 3 molars ( lower ) and they alway like pain pain, so sad … I dont know who to talk too, felt like NO ONE so bad luck like me? I wont die as is not ‘cancer’ or what … I actually hope I got cancer rather then this. Didnt go back to see Dr Adrian Yap, bcos he only check on my night guard, see the marking on it ( got biting marks) … and told me to wear it , as I am working I can’t always take leave to see him!
Hi Veron
Can you advise on the cost for your wisdom tooth extraction? I need to get mine done too but I am extremely fearful of visiting the dentist. How’s your recovery so far?
Did you have to book an appointment way way beforehand to see Prof Ho?
Thanks!
all these so-called specialists are ripped off artists so you should check around including regular dentist who can easily do dentures and partials.
Hi Bee Bee,
I already done the first phase dental implant in NDC.
My dentist is Dr. Raymond Peck Hong Lian. He is also a nice detist. Dr. Peck doesn’t talk too much. If you have any question , just ask him, he always answers me patiently. The charge of first visit is same as the private clinic, after that the charge will base on the treatments. But NDC only open during weekdays and day time.
Whoever you choose, your dentist will do a suitable plan for you to solve your problem.
Dr. Peck always tell me “Don’t worry!”. I believe you can have health teeth too.
